Samsung’s Earbuds Pro With Wireless Charging

Product Description

At Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, the company announced its newest addition to the Buds family, the earbuds pro with wireless charging. These new earbuds boast an industry-leading 12 hours of music playback in the buds themselves (and 36 more in their case) and come with two balanced armature drivers and four external microphones for exceptional call quality and a dynamic audio experience. Plus, they feature bleeding-edge Bluetooth 5.2 and the high-resolution aptX codec for a truly wireless, audiophile-grade listening experience.

The earbuds are available in black, silver and violet and sport a design that looks like a cross between the Galaxy Buds Plus and Galaxy Buds Live. The clamshell-style case is also back, but this time it can be charged wirelessly. The case is pretty small, but it feels sturdy and secure and holds the earbuds snugly when closed. The earbuds themselves are lightweight and comfortable, and you can use one earbud independently to answer calls, switch tracks or activate Siri.

Unlike the Buds Plus and Buds Live, the Pro buds can be used to summon Siri or Google Assistant on any Android phone without opening a dedicated app. Just tap twice on the left or right earbud and you can check your calendar, set reminders, ask for directions or check your social feed. You can also access Bixby by using the earbuds to control your smart home devices and more.

While you’re on a call, you can switch to ambient mode to hear your surroundings. When you return to a music source, your buds will automatically switch over to the audio coming from your phone. This is a great feature for anyone who has a hearing impairment, but it’s not perfect. The earbuds can sometimes accidentally switch to the wrong media, which can be frustrating. For example, tapping on the earbuds while watching Youtube will start playing music from Spotify over the video.

Another cool feature is the ability to pair two buds at once, which makes it easier to listen to friends or family while on a call. You can also connect the earbuds to your phone to stream music and podcasts in stereo.

Despite the added features, the earbuds are still very similar to their predecessors. They use the same H2 processor, which is a step up from Apple’s previous A4 chip. The earbuds are also more efficient in terms of power consumption, which should help them last longer. They also include three sizes of ear tips, so you’ll be able to find the ones that fit best for your ears. They’re also water-resistant and can be used while swimming or sweating. They’re a good choice for iPhone owners who want to make the move to wireless earbuds.
