Jabra 75t Wireless Earbuds Review

Jabra’s Elite 65t earbuds have been a worthy rival to Apple’s AirPods since they first launched, and the company has been relatively quick in delivering a follow-up to their true wireless headphones. The new Jabra 75t earbuds are a slimmer and slightly more breathable pair that should be better suited for active use, but also offer a lot of functionality that you’d normally find on higher-priced consumer TWS.

The design has been refined a bit from the Elite 65ts, with the rounded section of the stem now pointed towards the mouth rather than away. This makes them a little more discreet, and they’re still quite light and comfortable to wear in the ears. They fit very snugly, and they kept their shape while I was wearing them for a few workouts without slipping out of my ears. They also come with a selection of ear tips for various sizes, and I managed to find one that was a good fit.

In addition to a standard control wheel on the left earbud, there’s a physical button that controls call and music functions, plus a small microphone buried in the earpiece for hands-free calls. One press plays/pauses music, and two presses answer/end a call. The button is very responsive, and I didn’t have any issues with it working while wearing the earbuds during exercise or other activities.

Like all other true wireless earbuds, the Jabra 75t can be used in HearThrough mode to pipe in some outside audio for situational awareness. I tried this a few times, and it worked well, though it didn’t sound as natural as the transparency mode on the AirPods Pro. The Jabra app lets you save different EQ settings for listening to music, commuting, and more, so you can easily switch between them.

The sound quality is excellent overall, with very good bass accuracy and strong mid-range clarity for vocals and lead instruments. The high-mids are a little overemphasized, though, which can make some songs sound honky and harsh. They’re not nearly as clean and detailed as the Elite 65ts, which have some of the best sound quality of any earbuds in this price range.

Another welcome feature of the Jabra 75t is their excellent battery life, which lasted me over a week with frequent playback and use of Bluetooth audio, HearThrough mode, and hands-free calls. The earbuds are powered by a rechargeable 400mAh battery, which provides up to five hours of playback and up to 16 hours of continuous talk time. In a pinch, the case can charge the buds for an additional 15 minutes of playback or up to three hours of talk time.
